AI capturing an actor’s image and then using it in perpetuity. Totally nuts. BUT, isn’t it the same as sampling in a musical context? What can we learn from @SpitfireAudio and the likes about making sure artists are correctly and appropriately reimbursed?

@Cherylbaker It’s something called “revenue recognition”. If a company takes money and doesn’t provide the thing that you’ve given them the money for, they can’t declare that money as revenue.

Can someone explain why gift vouchers have expiration dates on them? If you’ve given the business your money, why do they say it’s only valid for a year? My daughter had a voucher for £50 and it expired. They wouldn’t honour it. £50! It should be valid forever or at least 3 years
