I believe in the importance of continuity. But to pledge “Your preferred choice of GP for each appointment” is ridiculous! I’ve been at my practice 20 years - what if 100 people on a Monday request to see me that day as their preferred GP. How can that be guaranteed?

We're in this for the long haul. Get the locums in and buckle down. The Tory government sees doctors and teachers (et al.) as enemies to be defeated, not a bruised, tired and neglected workforce to be supported for the betterment of the nation.
