@BlendedValue Absolutely. So much of what is widely considered immutable is merely a construct. We choose how we structure and operate our systems, including capital. Your approach requires reflection and deliberation in how we deploy capital, as it should — if we are doing it right.

@benefitcorp Related for me is notion (in my terms) our understanding of capital’s purpose is a social construct and we each must define in our own way versus embracing common notion that it’s purpose is self replication, making more money.

.@BlendedValue , I know I’m late reading this, but have you read “Development as Freedom” by Amartya Sen? I guess we can now say it was published last century.

@BlendedValue “Agree or not” = I have read some of the critiques and I understand there are some who disagree with him. But his focus on agency in particular really speaks to me.

@BlendedValue Deeply. Agree or not with his central thesis, his work among other things illustrates the power of the frame we choose. I’m still not through it but it just immediately impacted me.
