Christians still have questions. They just aren’t bringing them to clergy first. They’re asking them to machines. Not only theological questions. Life questions. Moral questions. Vocational questions. Even relational ones. And what struck me while writing this week is not simply that people are using AI. It’s that they are encountering something that feels responsive, immediate, and confident — often before they ever encounter the Church. By the time someone walks into a sanctuary, they may have already: formed a belief, rehearsed an argument, or settled an internal conflict… with a system that never knows them and cannot love them. Which means the Church’s challenge may not primarily be teaching about artificial intelligence.  It may be learning how to practice discernment in a world where trust is being formed elsewhere first. I tried to explore what we might be misunderstanding as leaders here: christopherbenek.com/2026/02/what-c…

Tech can accelerate tasks. It doesn't show love to your people. Pastoral authority doesn’t disappear in an AI age — but it must be clarified.

AI already shapes what people see, trust, and choose — long before Sunday morning. If the Church cares about formation, it cannot ignore AI.

Church leaders keep asking whether AI is good or bad. That’s the wrong question. AI isn’t just a tool problem. It’s a formation problem.

My most recent article published in @ChristianPost : "What Church Leaders Get Wrong About Artificial Intelligence" For a fuller theological and pastoral framework that integrates ministry practice, leadership, ethics, and Christian hope, see the Church Leader’s Guide to Artificial Intelligence - available on Amazon & Audible. christianpost.com/voices/what-ch…

Donald Trump during his State of the Union speech tonight: "You have seen nothing yet, we are going to do better, this is the golden age of America. More Americans are working today than at any time in the history of our country....and 100% of all jobs created under my administration have been in the private sector" Representative Al Green, was escorted out of the SOTU speech, holding a sign saying "Black people are not apes"

I am always impressed and encouraged, despite all the bickering in the world - how many people there are who consistently, genuinely and humbly seek dialogue, understanding and betterment. It gives me hope.

@RickKendall58 @JessicaTarlov You mean the guy who openly lied to the American public on national TV saying that police officers are trained to shoot 10 bullets into someone? (Unarmed, in the back). I’m not familiar with his body of work - but if that encapsulates it then - he’s a professional public liar.

Kyle Rittenhouse was a hero to the right, but Pretti was a “domestic terrorist” for having a legal gun. The double standard with some on the right is astonishing. Alex Pretti’s murder will go down in history as a turning point in this Administration.
