The current m1 class in my med school has 4 Black students in total. 4, out of 176 approximately. My class has 12 out of 173-176. There are more students who own Canada goose jackets in my medical school class than the number of Black students, nevertheless low income students.

And, it’s so convenient how the backlash against DEI just ignores the very reasons it was necessary in the first place. Under their so-called “meritocracy,” marginalized groups suffered systemic discrimination and negative outcomes. It’s not about fairness for them. It’s apathy.

There are public school teachers paying out of their own pockets for their students school supplies and kids going to school hungry among the entire laundry list of issues facing this country.
But someone cleared Kristi Noem to spend $200 million tax payer dollars on her vanity DHS ad?
This is the shit that starts revolutions. I can't even express how disgusting I find this level of misuse of government spending. What is the point of any of this if Kristi Noem wants to cosplay as an influencer at the cost of $200 million dollars from hardworking Americans?!

I think the thing that Mamdani has here that other Dems don't is that he owes no loyalty to the old guard. A lot of Trump's mortal enemies actively tried to stop Mamdani. With a big smile, he beat the Dems that Trump hates and made them sad on TV. That's all Trump cares about.
