A whole road of uncollected recycling bins, blocking the pavement. The strike has been ongoing for a month, so when will the Labour-run council write to residents and explain there will be no collections til further notice? What a mess...

@Woodsy003 @canterburycc As you’ll know, my top priority was investing in bins and cleaning, one of the core functions of a district council. You’ll have to ask the new Labour leader what his priorities are and whether they’ll honour the investments my party had proposed or scrap them.

168 million disposable vapes sold in the U.K. last year. Each have approx 0.5Ah 3.7v rechargeable lithium battery. Thats almost 310MWh of batteries produced for U.K. alone, 50% are thrown away. That’s almost 6200 EV batteries a year. EV’s reduce CO2, vapes add to landfill.
