Trump has been sending more weapons to the Middle East this entire "ceasefire". The U.S. was never interested in peace, they needed a break to re-arm. I am afraid Iran's ceasefire was a misstep.

Shalom Zionist Emiratis, Never forget your roots and stay humble. In the eyes of the Americans, Zionists and Islamophobes you revere and bend over for — you’re all camel herding desert dwellers. Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, founder of the UAE.

I suspect the real reason for Singapore's opposition to a toll on Hormuz is not some high-minded devotion to international law, but because if it's set as a precedent and a toll were to exist on the Strait of Malacca, it would basically kill their current business model. See, geographically speaking, Malacca runs primarily between Malaysia and Indonesia - Singapore only controls a small stretch at the southeastern exit. Yet currently they capture most of the strait's commercial value through port services, bunkering, and transshipment: it's basically like them having the best "service station" on the world's most popular free highway. What the Hormuz precedent - if established - is all about is the revenge of geography: power given back to the countries that own the road, as opposed to those with the best rest-stop. Fantastic news for Malaysia and Indonesia (which is partly why you're seeing key Malaysian political figures, like Nurul Izzah Anwar, issue a highly unusual rebuke of Singapore over Balakrishnan’s remarks: x.com/amerhadiazmi/s…), but a big threat to a city-state whose entire economy is built on being the best service provider on what's largely someone else's waterway.

Singapore’s Foreign Minister on why he cannot accept negotiating with Iran for safe passage of ships. Definitely worth listening to:

@fmtoday @OfficialJohor @johor_umno @JohorDarulTazim should have taken steps to attract investors, invest & establish industries in Johor. Instead, it is providing facilities for Singaporean workers to commute to work there, with wasted investment. Isn't that a detrimental strategic move

@mrpeace360 @Eden_Shaul02 @MOSSADil Israel has long used proxies in its efforts to rule the world. They created world bodies in the name of peace, health, humanity, so that every action would appear clean. They are cowards because they do not dare to face their enemies manfully. The US and NATO are often servants

🇵🇰 Pakistan has deployed fighter jets and military forces to Saudi Arabia under the Joint Strategic Defense Agreement, with strike and support aircraft now stationed at King Abdulaziz Air Base near the Persian Gulf. Iran has repeatedly signaled interest in joining the pact, but both countries have declined. Stay connected, follow @MOSSADil.

@RnaudBertrand Its simpler - anyone set up a toll in the malacca straits is an existential threat - and we will go to war over it. So we will not allow such an idea to take root.

@RnaudBertrand Also read up about the deliberate narrowing of the Tebrau Strait by the Singapore government to sabotage the Tanjong Pelepas port in the 2000s. malaysiakini.com/news/10747

@RnaudBertrand Where does it end? Straits of Gibraltar??? Irish Sea??? Baltic Sea??? The crazy thing is, instead of OPPOSING Iranian tolls on the Strait of Hormuz, Trump's USA just wanted a share of the profits!!! So insane...

@pinokole You're getting your causality wrong here: all of this exists BECAUSE Singapore is a physical trading hub - the port came first, the rest followed.
