sorry for participating in one of the endless discourses, but one thing I never really see acknowledged in this particular one is that an audiobook is a performance and how that performance can color the material differently than if you were reading

ya, i feel like it’s time for us to get really honest. most students using AI to do all their work do it b/c they’re lazy. they’re not secret scholars just juggling a lot of responsibilities or disillusioned by an emphasis on getting a job rather than learning. they don’t care🤷🏾♀️

I had four students take pics of my exam and upload them to ChatGPT while I was in the room. Lol. I gave the students a study guide for the final on the first day of class. Many students are lazy and don’t care. Cheating is rampant. AI only emboldens them.

Teaching a college class with HSstudents and today a student asked me to send him readings on “the connection between capitalism and the othering of Black bodies, mainly socioeconomic impacts and the correlation it has on viewing Black bodies as flesh for profit and consumption”

@pcnyck @benjaemin_ @PurelyIce Honestly I think people would’ve hated this ending more than the one we got. Like all that effort and build up just for them to lose AGAIN and everyone dies and Homelander becomes “God” and that’s just it. Would’ve been awful and a huge waste of time

If you legitimately think the main character(s) losing or dying in the finale, “adds stakes,” just stop watching media because you clearly don’t have any media literacy at all.
