MSPs have agreed that @scotparl should elect conveners instead of appointing them through party negotiations. Following a debate led by Standards Convener @_MWhitfield MSP, the Standing Orders will be updated to include a procedure for electing conveners in the next session.

@yobkulcha @sunpath2 @joannaccherry I have no desire to re-run the trial. If someone has committed perjury, then that should be investigated. I didn't hear all of the evidence, and neither did you, only the court and jury did.

Either the FM is not being advised properly or is muddying on purpose. He said in the interview that he would do "nothing, absolutely nothing" to break the court orders. Except his Government did publish information (available for a week) which in heraldscotland.com/news/25937749.…

@sunpath2 @yobkulcha @joannaccherry The jury were the ones who heard all the evidence, and their deliberations were private. Hence, trying to draw conclusions from how they came to their verdict, is difficult to near impossible

@sunpath2 @yobkulcha @joannaccherry That's an extremely dangerous territory to go down, and one that if that assumption is applied for all such trials, would in my view discourage people coming forward in the future out of fear of being labelled liars.
