In Christianity, the first public miracle of Jesus is turning water into wine at a wedding. In Islam, the first miracle of Jesus is speaking from the cradle to defend the honor of his mother Maryam against slander. A far more noble beginning.

@ahmeditti90 @IslamicSH_ The author of the Quran is someone who was living in the desert in the Middle East. There is no way God can produce something as unintelligent as the Quran.

@benjaminay2 @IjazTheTrini @enesovat22 "A better parallel would be if we say Abraham practiced Christianity with church doctrines and rituals such as communion and others." we dont say Jesus was muslim in the sense he followed the exact rituals, rites, legislation prescribed in the quran tho, so thats disanalogous

What’s the relevance here? If Catholics believe characters of old are Christians, that’s their own problem. The Bible nowhere makes that argument. Dispensational laws, traditions and practices differ amongst themselves and inserting characters from a different dispensation into another is just anachronistically fallacious.

Dear @enesovat22 the same way you guys believe the Prophets of the Old Testament to be spiritual members of the Catholic Church, many non-Catholics because of this would accuse the catechism of Pius X of anachronism but I don't think this would be a fair criticism against the Magisterium. You believe that the Prophets of the Old Testament, share in the same Faith that you do, but that they were under a different legislation (that's why according to the catechism of the Council of Trent, God allowed polygamy before the advent of Christ). The same goes for us: We believe that all the Prophets share in the same Faith, which is Islam, but that there used to be different dispensations (for lack of a better word) with different Legislations for each Messenger. Obviously, it's in both case an ad fidem argument, so it would only make sense if you accept the premise that Catholicism or Islam is true, however both systems are internally coherent on this issue.

How can Jesus be a Muslim if Islam came 700 years after his death, burial and resurrection?

Yes We do admit that. The difference is that unlike Muslims, we don’t say the Bible is the verbatim uncreated speech of God. It was written by fallible humans and hence there is no Christian doctrine that says we have to hold to perfect preservation word for word and dot for dot Bible. So we hold a preservation of meaning and inspiration, that is God through His Spirit has been able to faithfully preserve the meaning and every other thing we ought to know through the abundant ancient manuscripts. “Salvation through Christ Jesus”

@MasterMaliq No single Bible passes through multiple translations. Every language the New Testament is translated into is translated directly from the Koine Greek. The original language in which they were written in. Your equating translation and version.

One reason the Quran has remained unique is because it is still preserved in its original Arabic language after centuries. Translations can explain the meaning, but the original text remains unchanged. Unlike the Bible and many ancient scriptures that passed through multiple languages and interpretations over time, the Quran is still recited today in the same language it was revealed in. That level of preservation is part of why many Muslims see it as extraordinary.

@hockeyguy199229 It’s actually the reverse dude. The author of the Quran is hearing these stories from the Jews and Christians and he’s inserting them into the Quran thinking they’re authentic stories.

Here is a beautiful example of the Qu’rān intertexting with and preserving an ancient Aramaic translation of the Bible: The Bible mentions that Yahweh is the “God of the Hebrews” during the story of Moses, but Targum Jonathan has a different saying that corresponds to Sūrah Al-Qaṣaṣ instead!

Your fault here is you presuppose that there are 4 gospels. There is actually only one gospel. The gospel of Jesus Christ. Matthew Mark Luke and John are independent testimonies of that one gospel. It’s like having multiple media houses cover an accident that happened. Each media house is separate and may give their own independent accounts, and yet still there was only one accident. So saying the Quran uses the term injil in a unitary sense is actually in line with what the bible says about there being only one gospel. In fact the Quran also calls both Jews and Chrsitians People of the “book”. Why doesn’t it say people of the books, even though it admits the Torah is different from the Injil? The Quran nowhere presents itself as correcting previous scriptures themselves. The author of the Quran genuinely thinks the Torah and injil exists and are both preserved at the time. However the author thinks the Jews and Christians are rather misinterpreting and misreading them. Quran 4:47 says the scripture is with them. Hence what we can infer from all of this is that it appears the author of the Quran never read the Torah and injil but strangely genuinely thinks whatever is in the Quran agrees with what’s in those scriptures. That’s why it’s a dilemma. You can’t keep pointing Jews and christians to a book unless you think that book is authoritative and preserved. And if those books are authoritative and preserved but the Quran contradicts what’s in those books, then the Quran must be the one at fault here. Since all of the Qurans criticisms actually point to the people themselves and how they read or interpret the books and not necessarily the scriptures themselves.

Even though it's almost been 10 years since Nabeel Qureshi went to be with Christ, I still can't stop hearing from Ex-Muslims who became Christian thanks to God using Nabeel to wake them up.
Lee Strobel@LeeStrobel

The video of Nabeel Qureshi being baptized was lost for 20 years but finally found. I watched this friend & ex-Muslim being baptized just before I entered Two Cities Church in North Carolina to preach the gospel. Lord, may many more people find redemption through Christ today.

Not only is this laughably incorrect, but we're supposed to believe Muhammed got this correct 600 years later? And BTW who brought Muhammed that message? Gabriel? Don't make me laugh. The namus who came to Musa 🤣

It’s so sad to see Christians claim that the crucifixion is the most well established event in history and yet we don’t find as much as ONE first hand account to verify it! The Christians KEEP proving the quran right, you follow NOTHING but Conjecture. 🙁

@DonAre_Dot @CFCms3 He hasn’t shown he can even take control of an entire game. He isn’t a player whom even opposing teams need to double up in defending. It may be early days yet, but I see him to be a very ordinary player. Unless maybe Alonso turns him into a beast suddenly.

@benjaminay2 @CFCms3 I think most Chelsea fans have followed him since he was 16, and the glimpses we have seen, Scoring against us in the CWC and that Barca goal gives us massive confidence that he could be as good as we think he could be, we just need to look after him
