Boeing was already a basket case before DEI. Problems started when it moved to Chicago and deemphasized its engineers and manufacturing base in the Seattle area for financial engineering. For instance - in 2009 Boeing’s 787 missed its ‘first flight’ at the Paris Air Show after discovering that the joint connecting the wings to the fuselage was faulty. They couldn’t be certain the wings wouldn’t fall off. Lawsuits followed. They had outsourced just about the entire plane to save money. Parts were built all over the world, then shipped into the USA for assembly. This resulted in all kinds of problems. This outsourcing has created further problems on these 737s. DEI is not going to help. But Boeing’s basic problem is more basic - its new Chicago management knowingly downgraded quality to save $$, do share buybacks and line their own pockets. Probably you can tell a similar story about all American manufacturing companies. Again - DEI will make this worse, but the problems go back further.

Las Vegas is a beautiful city with the best Asian food in America outside of LA and has gambling. Sorry it doesn’t have some stupid tower and a bunch of mid restaurants with little chairs outside for tourists to sit and go ‘ahhh culture.’ (Except it does at the Paris casino)
