In 2015, the University of Nairobi launched Petroleum Engineering Program.
The program was formally recognized in 2018 and in 2025, the program was later downgraded.
As we are talking now, there are 40 graduates with Bsc in Petroleum Engineering who are unregistered by the Engineering Board of Kenya.
They are not registered because learned people are a threat to the looting business of cartels.
