Use case: a rekt SIWE app (rant for another day) that only opens the WC screen and "View All" wallets is broken (probably again some "outdated WC integration" that had a catastrophic upgrade path). So I want to connect that WC pairing URI to some other HW wallet. rekt?

Is there really no desktop @WalletConnect wallet client? So if I have a WC pairing URI, I can basically only use that on mobile wallets (or Safe) but desktop is unsupported? 🧐

The fact that @TrustWallet has not shared how the attackers published a new malicious extension means there are serious issues with their build and release process. Extension publication secrets are the Crown Jewels of any wallet software. They should only be stored in battle tested and heavily monitored secrets management solutions and require multi-party approval to access. Since someone got access to the credentials, pushed a malicious release, and the company only noticed after users complained of lost funds points to systemic security issues. Probably worth avoiding anything from them until there is a full third-party IR report and RCA.

Holy shit… the exploitation of CVE-2025-55182 has reached a new level. There’s now a publicly available Chrome extension on GitHub that automatically scans for and exploits vulnerable sites as you browse. Absolutely wild. 🤦‍♂️
