One of my biggest mistakes as a graphic designer: Not sharing my design work. Don't leave your design work on your computer. Instead, share it on: - X - Dribbble - Behance - Instagram - Design Groups Places where people can give you feedback. Design in public.

@JaffaBranding I especially agree with 'Under promise' Its so much better to estimate long and deliver sooner than promised.

How to overdeliver as a designer: - Under promise - Responsive design - Quick communication - Add a surprise add-on - Add an extra logo option - Make the first revision free - Provide multiple file formats - Include post-project support Your client won't find a better designer.

I don't believe in freelance websites. - Irregular income - Clients taking the piss - Competition to become cheap Build a personal brand on X instead. You'll get to: - Choose your clients - Attract genuine interest - Choose your own freelance rates No brainer.

@JaffaBranding This is true @JaffaBranding But even if you love design, you'll still lose motivation at times. A boring project, lack of focus, being overworked. Sometimes you need to sprinkle in the ability to push through the rough spots

Quit making excuses for yourself. - "Bad clients" - "Not enough time" - "Lack of motivation" If you love design: - You'll reject bad clients - You'll not need motivation - You'll find the time to design Become obsessed with graphic design. It will serve you well.
