Two indie devs made a game where you run your own video store in the early 90s. It’s currently the #5 top-selling game on Steam.
- Rent out VHS tapes & manage customers
- Charge Late & Broken Fees
- Upgrade & customise your store
It’s called Retro Rewind - Video Store Simulator

Infiltrating military institutions and suppliers to reveal bases now works. Ignore random herd of cows, I am looking into it...

Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing really well ! ☺️
I wanted to share with you something you can use in your games.
I composed a 40 track album called Music For Videogames (yea haha) and it’s available for Free on Bandcamp. If any track interests you for your game, just tell me and use it. If you need to make interractive music I can even provide separated stems (drums, melody, etc.) so you can make interactive music in your game. I’ll do that for free (within reason haha), out of love for games, creation, and sharing <3
Here’s the link to the 40 tracks :

This isn’t self-promo, I’m not really earning anything from this link. It’s really just so you can pick and use these tracks for your games.
I hope you’ll find creative use for them !
Now that the most important part is said, I’d like to open up a bit more, hoping it won’t put you to sleep.
I don’t know if you remember, but when I started making music for games, my username was Axelo. Then it became Ake, and the music became more like Silent Hill atmospheric tracks. I guess I had trouble finding my place at that moment.
Today, I’m sticking with the name Monkey 64, which I finally feel comfortable with, and I’ll keep making “video game music” that you’re free to use in your games, just let me know when you wanna use it of course, and I’ll remain available to send you stems and all that <3
Monkey 64 tracks will be more rhythmic, weirder, with a PS1 / N64 vibe.
If you wanna support so I can do MORE music for you, you can presave the next release here :D

I hope you’ll be able to like and use these future tracks in your games, that’s what would make me the happiest :)
I still have a small question for those who made it this far:
What’s the most inspiring thing I could post here for you?
The Everyday work with just a screen capture of my audio software?
Only official releases, no spam?
Or just simple random stuff here and there ?
Thanks for reading ! Have a wonderful day !

So, that’s many new systems working in unison for a very simple player driven mission. However, of course, everything is robust to allow for a lot of fun later. Visually, many things are WIP, don’t worry.
