This is so cringe and dumb. The literacy rates falling are due to immigrants and blacks who are 50% level 1 illiterate (can’t read / follow directions at a 5th grade level). This is a waste of money because none of them are going to magically learn to read no matter how much money we throw at it.

The problem with radfems is precisely that they do not have a "principled" or "Marxist" analysis of patriarchy. They center sexuality (without any real attempt to historicize it) and interpersonal conflict (without any view of structural issues). It's liberal feminism in essence.

I have several critiques of radfem theory but other political traditions have abandoned or perverted the woman question so much that radfems are the only ones left maintaining what was once a widely accepted principled marxist position on gender critique and it’s frankly pathetic

North Korea is fascinating because it combines both poverty but also a highly intelligent, orderly, and cleanly people. It's a very distinct aesthetic. Usually poverty goes along with filth but that is not the case here
