@DXW_KC Why is there little coverage on the fact that Sir Olly also had some confidence in his decision because STRAP had also been granted under a different process. The PM will never get told the DV outcome, as Sir Olly was at pains to explain, so few MOs actually understand it.

I don’t know what Sir Olly (or his lawyers) thought when he heard this, but Sir Humphrey might have suggested that this would be a bold* thing for the Prime Minister to say. *ie daft / untrue / inconsistent with the evidential record 1/2

Interesting question: why are grants not available for air-to-air heat pumps? Is the subsidy distorting the heat pump market? Air-to-air is surely the best option for those wanting winter heating AND summer cooling (or who hate metal radiators and who don't mind a fan noise)
