Quick updates. It was as saucy in Ann Arbor yesterday, and we expect a decision in the next few days. See the picture from the previous post. Chase Saldate hosted Moses Mendoza on his first visit then back to host Him and Sauce. Garvin staying is no surprise. Iowa had strong interests, but after a power play move by coach Ayers, Knox and Garvin returning to Stanford seemed inevitable. I still don’t see Provo heading back, and I felt the same way about Norman, but his market isn’t as active as Provo’s. Some other notes: Rutgers 125lb Ayden Smith is visiting Iowa State. Coach Metcalf is looking to add a second transfer from the portal in less than a week. Iowa State is working hard to fill void left by Castillo. ILL and WVU are waiting to hear from NCST T Hohman within the next 24-48 hours. SIUE's first-year HC D Thomas is staying busy in the portal, adding Campbell’s Kendrick Hodge and Juco Champ Henry Dillingham, who pinned his way through this past season. CMU HC Ben Bennett added a few intriguing pieces yesterday in Manny Rojas and Zeke Seltzer from Iowa state and Missouri, they should be able to jump right in the lineup for the Chippewas.

Sunday is a day of reflection…..Monday will be a day of no posting, I think. The transfer portal has been exciting nonetheless, leading to some "WOOO’s" and "BOOOO’s" for me. The "WOOO’s" represent some successful predictions I made regarding transfers or big-time hints on, while the "BOOOO’s" are the ones that didn't pan out as expected. **WOOO’s:** - Fugitt to Missouri - McCrone to UNC - Vino entering the portal plus Nebraska - Kia Owen and Conner Barket to Indiana - Crookham to Iowa - Ungar and Herrera to Rutgers - Clark to Illinois - Vanadia to West Virginia - Dailey to North Carolina State - BT to Iowa State - Tabor to North Carolina State - Koehler to Wisconsin - Jersey Robb to Oklahoma - Hansen to UNC - Knox staying **BOOO’s:** - Metcalf joining the Iowa coaching staff… I know this is a really bad prediction, but I received some early intel and jumped the gun. - I had no intel on Shapiro; I thought the rumors had quieted down - Berge to Oklahoma State, thought he was heading to the Big 10 - Carson Thomas to Maryland, had him locked to an ACC school - I stayed away from Endeme, as I had no reliable information - I had Schubert leaning toward both Iowa and Ohio State, but he was more inclined toward State. I’m still waiting on updates for Garvin, Provo, Sauce Zepeda, Ech, Crook, Rivera, Norman, and Seltzer. I hope to turn most of these into "WOOO’s." **A Few Small Rumblings:** - Payton Thomas, a 197 lb wrestler from Navy, is working on his release and will be visiting a Big Ten school in the Midwest next weekend. - 133 lb Troy Hohman should be close to making a decision between his hometown university, Pitt, and Illinois, and possibly WVU - Tom Crook is wrapping up his Big Ten tour with a visit to Rutgers and will then hit a few schools in the Midwest, including Illinois and Indiana. Lastly, I want to mention how UNC assistant coach Tony Ramos was willing to step up at the last minute to fill in for RAF last night. Tony was in Philadelphia for a hockey camp with his son. This gave me an idea for the RAF: One match on the card featuring an NCAA assistant coach versus another assistant coach for university bragging rights. Come on, TR, we need to see that famous Carver Hawkeye Arena stare down just one more time!!!!!!!!

This post has a quarter of a million “Likes” in 48 hours Americans are losing it realizing they work more than peasants used to work “I've actually f*cking had it with the United States of America — I gotta go to work 40 sometimes 50 hours a week only to get 2 weeks of paid vacation — peasants used to get 154 days off. I'm not even treated like a f*cking peasant” “I can't f*cking do this shit anymore. And all while this shit is happening, they're f*cking constantly attacking your psychological — y'all just kicking me when I'm f*cking down. I can't go anywhere because they f*cking hate us — while a ruling class of Satan-worshipping, baby-eating pedophiles comes for my f*cking kids every way, or form B*tch. @BrianSwaw I hate to hear that B1Gs are moving to a neutral site. I love visiting all the different schools and checking out their campuses and meeting their fans. I'm constantly telling people what a fun town Lincoln is because i went there for B1Gs! As a cincy guy, i love the choices

**Transfer Tuesday…** What a hectic late afternoon filled with signing announcements! I had Fugitt heading to Missouri, Crookham to Iowa early after a few ACC passed over the weekend (at least I won't misspell his name again), Dailey, Scott, Schmidt, Vanadia, and one for the smaller schools that I will mention at the end. I've been saying for some time now that Fugitt and Crookham would go to Missouri and Iowa, respectively. Additionally, when Dailey joined in, NC State was one of his top choices. Speaking of top choices, I've also been mentioning Zepeda's potential move to Michigan or Iowa for a while, with Michigan the frontrunner to join his brother. At least I have been close on some predictions! On another note, I hinted last week about rumblings from the Big Ten coaches' meeting about moving the conference tournament to a neutral site. Now that Coach Manning has gone public with this information, I can share more details. The conference has seen tremendous success hosting the Big Ten basketball tournament at a single venue, the United Center in Chicago, for some time, which has accelerated this discussion. I can confirm that the move will happen. However, Purdue is set to be the host next year. The four sites bidding for this tournament are Chicago (which I believe is unlikely since it would mean back-to-back weekends, and that's a long time for the Bulls and Blackhawks to be away), Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Cleveland. A fifth site in Las Vegas was mentioned, but that option was quickly dismissed. I don’t see Cincinnati as a viable option. Cleveland did a nice job hosting the NCAA tournament, but to me, Indianapolis makes the most sense. The Big Ten has always hosted events there for years. My odds on favorite. I can tell you that Nebraska and Maryland were interested in Dailey, so those are two teams to watch in the portal for the 184 weight class. Now that Iowa has made a significant move, how soon should we expect Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska, and Iowa State to respond with some big counterpunch? I don’t expect Shapiro to sign this week, but I anticipate commitments from Robinson, Zepeda, Knox, Provo, Norman and Endeme. Additionally, we might hear from the next tier of recruits, including Clark, Cook, Ungar, Rivera, and possibly Smith, although there hasn't been much news on his front. Hearing Hunter Garvin might be in the same mode as Shapiro, taking his time. When these signings take place, it will be very interesting to see which group enters the portal next, with just two weeks remaining. What’s going on with Christian Castillo? It has been quite quiet for someone ranked in the top 15 on the big board. I still think Arizona State is in the mix, but it seems to me that he should be more sought after than other 125-pound wrestlers in the portal. The little guys. Wisconsin Parkside's very successful D2 program landed Wisconsin 125lb Wyatt Skebba, who will join his brother with the Rangers under HC Nick Becker.

@BrianSwaw Going to need more than Robinson to even finish 3rd next year at nationals. Penn State Oklahoma State VT are ahead of the Huskers next year IMO

**Sunday at the Masters** Wrestlers and coaches, let's try to enjoy the final day of the Masters without interruption! Coach Goodale has secured his big guy: BOOM, the 285-pound Iowa State transfer Daniel Herrera, who was highly sought after. And it's all the Jersey Mike’s you can eat! Rutgers also hosted a few other recruits this past weekend, including Greyson Clark. It will be interesting to see who else the Scarlet Knights can entice with a Jersey Shore combo sandwich! Zan Fugitt has narrowed his options down to two schools: his home state of Missouri and Ohio State. He has canceled all other visits and will be making a decision this coming week. As I've mentioned before, Missouri is still the front-runner. Nebraska fans could be very happy today or tomorrow as a significant decision and announcement are forthcoming. But which will come first—big-time additions or subtractions? Rumors were swirling yesterday regarding a possible coaching move to Blacksburg. Sing the next line, then fill in the blank: "And here’s to you..." I don’t know the whole story, but I can’t see Coach Zach Tanelli not finding a new position quickly, given his background. Is this the start of the assistant coach carousel? Wisconsin has an opening where he was an All-American. Hmmm... Speaking of Virginia Tech, it seems that recent de-commit Nicholas Garcia, a senior 133-pound wrestler from Illinois, enjoyed his visit and may commit quickly. However, Carter Schubert left town for a few more visits. I expect recruits like Clark, Crook, Koehler, Smith, Unger, and Rivera, all of whom have visits this week, to make decisions quickly. I've heard that Purdue is Rivera's favorite. @PurdueWrestling Let's not count out the little guys with some portal news, SIUE New HC Daryl Thomas hosted Eugene Harney NQ 149lb Morgan State. @SIUEWrestling

As I promised earlier. UNC lands its 125 lb in Brendan McCrone, a former Buckeye who finds a home with the Tar Heels. I love the fit for both. The James Taylor reference for all you youngsters was "Carolina in My Mind." Cue up Petey Pablo Raise up!!!!

Tuesday Portal Rumblings: Zan Fugitt, making his rounds, was in Missouri yesterday, Ohio State on Wednesday, and then Illinois after that. All are looking for him to be at 141 next year, with a few other teams reaching out to stay at 133 in the ACC. Bennett Tabor, still hearing it’s NCST, but he did reach back out to a few BIG10 teams for possible visits later in the month. ILL, Michigan, a few looking at 285. 125’s Smith, Rivera, and Koehler are all setting up visits to BIG10 schools as early as this weekend. CAMPUS WATCH TWITTER GANG. Stanford Fantastic Four are making rounds to the major NIL players, such as Nebraska, Iowa State, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio State, as well as ACC players UNC, NCST, and Va Tech. Most of them will have deals secured by week's end. The Brett Ungar tour continues to Michigan this week after visits to Maryland, Rutgers, Illinois, and now Michigan, which seems like a big market for him after missing last year. Greyson Clark has visits to a few BIG 10 schools, including Illinois, and he has also heard his home state of Wisconsin is extremely interested. Tom Crook has a few visits scheduled with Big 10 schools in the Midwest this weekend and next week. Kai Owen has ACC school in hot pursuit, hoping to get a deal done sooner rather than later. Next week will be the scramble when kids start finding their homes, forcing others to jump into the portal.
