So I contacted these losers at the new @ProteasMenCSA travel agency. If you want to attend a single day of the Newlands test, its going to cost you R15 720. If you want to attend all five days, be prepared to spend R44 640. They will NOT allow you to buy tickets alone.

The Springbok Rugby team usually host an away game at Twickenham once a year. This generates much good revenue in a strong currency. CSA should consider this kind of model rather than hosting home matches for tourists at the exclusion of locals.

@followthebounce @BoknRoll This is disingenuous crap. The demand is unprecedented selling out in a few minutes… Well of course they got sold out. They only released 1600 tickets!!!! The issue is the massive allocation to tour packages and comps.

@KelRo736 Exactly. It’s the allocation that is the problem. Instead of selling cricket tickets to locals, they are selling high priced tours to domestic and international tourists. Why should Cape Town residents put up with all the traffic disruptions if they are excluded.
