Seva My Nani (maternal grandmom) always said there is no greater privilege than the opportunity to serve Inspired by @ZohrinM, I state: being an educator is both an honour& a privilege & as such, dismantling & reforming the institution is our moral imperative

Horrific experience. Horrific customer service. Just all around the absolute worst experience. @Airbnb @AirbnbHelp has monopolized an industry with little standards. Someone else needs to build a platform with better vetting and customer service. Never again will I use them.

A day and a half and nothing done @Airbnb @AirbnbHelp - you’ve left me stranded without a place to stay. The Airbnb booked was a different address and complely different place than what I booked. You assured me a hotel stay and 5 hours later said you couldn’t do that.

Absolutely horrifying experience with @Airbnb @AirbnbHelp And they refuse to rectify the situation or compensate for the harm caused.

I’m now off taking a social media break ✌🏾 Sending healing to all those who need it! Those who have disalignment with their best selves, those who have forgotten kindness and empathy, and those who just need an extra blanket of love.

Police shootings rose by almost 25% in Canada in 2022. *This* rise in violence is not being treated with the same urgency by political leaders, and is not considered an emergency requiring immediate action from all levels of govt #SupportsNotPolice toronto.citynews.ca/2022/12/27/pol…

Today on National Day of Remembrance of the Quebec City Mosque Attack and Action Against Islamaphobia, let's honour the lives of the victims and stand with the survivors. Let's choose action to eradicate Islamaphobia, hate and all forms of discrimination. #GreenSquareCampaign

Affordable housing will become common when we stop seeing housing as a commodity and start treating it as a public good. This requires we fundamentally understand that housing is not a luxury, it's a necessity.

It’s worth repeating: The goal of private for-profit healthcare is to provide profits for shareholders. Meanwhile, the goal of public healthcare is to provide healthcare for people. Who else thinks that healthcare for people should matter more than profits for shareholders? ✋🏾

2 learning moments today reminded me about pausing & listening 1. Creating our book recommendations corner after a convo in line during free flow. Our friends were so excited to jump in they came back for NB. The shelf, the form, the words all them @prsb_libraries
