Revolut yields to the pressure; it makes Catalan the default language on its ATMs in Catalonia for its 1.2 million local customers. Revolut has informed the media that Catalan is now the default language on its cash machines (ATMs) across Catalonia. The change affects all 57 Revolut ATMs currently operating in the region. Revolut, which has more than 1.2 million clients in Catalonia, will also incorporate Catalan into its website and mobile app during the first half of 2027. Revolut faced years of public pressure on social media from Catalan users and language organisations. I followed this with interest, and the action culminated in a celebration for supporters when Revolut posted a job ad seeking a Catalan-language translator. Good win for the local culture, but not easy for Revolut. Every language pack and every local feature added to the Revolut app is present on every user's app. For example, Lithuanian Revolut customers will have the Catalan language pack in the app, and Catalans now have Lithuanian mortgage application and management features, but these features aren't accessible. Another thing worth mentioning is that for the first time, Revolut has released customer numbers for the region of Catalonia. Based on a simple calculation, Catalonia has a Revolut customer penetration rate of 14.62%. That is higher than Spain's total, at 13%. Eso de que los inmigrantes «vienen a hacer los trabajos que los nativos no queremos» creo que es un argumento que se está empezando a quedar obsoleto. Porque para lo que sirve el excedente de mano de obra es devaluar y recrudecer las condiciones por la cantidad de demanda.

@Ivan_Riera21 Jo he de dir que no vaig assistir a la gran majoria de classes de la carrera simplement per mandra, perquè podia aprendre el mateix a casa amb els powerpoints que reciten els profes de pe a pa. Això sí, les classes on es notava que el profe li ficava ganes, eren totes plenes...

The vibes are turning against Dario. I expect this to accelerate until he changes his messaging Why? Because AI broke the social contract of the internet. For the last 20 years, people shared their data with tech companies as part of a *symbiotic* relationship. The services got better. Traffic went to your site. Network effects made transactions liquid and simple. AI broke that contract. AI sucked in the collective IP of civilization and paid out nothing for the inputs. And now Dario goes on TV every day to tell us he is going to break the economy and our children will be poor. But he did that. It’s economic gaslighting. Dario is the embodiment of the “We’re all trying to find the guy who did this” meme and people are not going to sit there and take it AI needs a better, more inclusive message. I expect he will realize this eventually. The question is whether he will realize it before it’s too late.
