The father of Logan Tipton previously said he would kill Ronald Exantus if they ever crossed paths after Exantus broke into their home and killed his son. Exantus was released early from prison in 2025 after serving just 10 years for stabbing Tipton in the head. He had been found not guilty by "reason of insanity" in 2018. Just 12 days after being released from prison, he was re-arrested in Florida for not registering as a convicted felon. "Last year, this monster was released from jail due to Kentucky’s mandatory reentry supervision program. He reoffended, and got a pathetic 9 additional months.
