Nearly every city in America has a single, historic/old, pedestrianized street that is the most popular and beloved place in the city where every business is popping and people want to hang out all the time and they look at those streets and say “we can never do that again.”

spray foam insulation is a good example of like the non-american superiority complex because its like objectively better than other forms of insulation but because countries that arent america refuse to adopt it ppl just view it as tacky and bad regardless

@jltamair @DW89301727 @hi_im_envy We build the interior walls and exterior walls around the same time. You're seeing light come through because there is only plain plywood sheathing on the outside. It will be waterproofed, insulated and cladded later on, and the interior wall will be covered in sheetrock.

@1rosieleft @Axillia1 @hi_im_envy Euros generally don't have a problem with timber framing. They just (wrongly) hate stick framing. It's a very important distinction.

Not that there's anything wrong with stick framing. It's by far the most sustainable building method.
