@DrArvindR @drgregkelly would love any tips of this as we develop our service. So far we have found early referrals prior to transition, getting the family/pt to visit prior to needing admission, having good contacts and plans for emergency admission when it occurs helps #coda22

@drgregkelly many of the challenges of PICU long-stay pts similar in the adult population. ICU @nursepractitioners can provide continuity & consistency for these pts & fam. That’s why we are setting up a program for long-stay pts at @RNSHICU as part of our #ICUNP Service #coda22

The PM says about getting Australians vaccinated, "thank you GPs; thank you pharmacists". What about "thank you nurses"? Even in general practice, it's often a practice nurse giving the vaccine. Nurse practitioners however, still cannot vaccinate independently.
