I’m on the night shift, quick update before everyone wakes up. KBs recovery is going well, she should be able to leave bed today, eat food & walk today, transfusion went well & she cleared the 12/18 hour post op milestones. Apologies for typos, holding sleeping Alvin while typing. Mostly won’t be online over the coming days, but I’ll update & schedule things during night shift.

So many men are reacting bizarrely negatively to this. Talk to any divorce lawyer. Talk to any divorced woman. They will tell you that women being left with the bulk of the childcare, house work and general operations of running the family is a leading cause for divorce. And that’s justifiable. Most women work a real job. They aren’t going to take on all the unpaid labor too. Now that men and women have equal rights, men have to change the ways they approach relationships if they want to be in them long-term. Women are looking for a PARTNER.

@1Sariat5 @JKisSerious He must be married to a woman that carries all the mental load. Men need to learn to survive on their own without women having to parent them.

@JKisSerious The fact you claim mental load doesnt exist taps into the exact problem what is being described here.

@kangminlee This isn't about feminism and certainly not about just the one time he didn't do something. If you can understand the video, you will see she is saying that just because women can do everything, doesn't mean that they should. Men need to step up and pull their weight.

@thSauceMan @ThatGuyFromHS @CandiceHorbacz Damn you have a trauma history with women. She's just a normal wife frustrated with a husband that isn't pulling his weight and explaining how they overcame that obstacle in their marriage.

@bethiebadger @ThatGuyFromHS @CandiceHorbacz He could have ADHD if he has a hard time remembering things which is completely common and normal but she's framing him like some lazy POS when she admitted he's very involved in everything with their family. The video revealed she's a manipulative liar that likes attention

@thSauceMan @ThatGuyFromHS @CandiceHorbacz Yes absolutely. She shouldn't have to remind him these things. That's where he fell short, along with other things. She seems to communicate well given how she communicates in this 5 minute video.

@bethiebadger @ThatGuyFromHS @CandiceHorbacz There's no slack tho, she didn't say he fell short on his duties. That's a falsehood you're creating rn and it took him asking what he could do to help for her to even think about asking for help. And even complained about needing to remind him. Her communication stinks

Pat Stedman | Dating & Relationship Coach for Men
What she's saying is common and she's not wrong - women do bear a disproportionate amount of childcare and housework, and when both parents have jobs, this inevitably creates resentment towards the dads, who tend to be less proactive towards these tasks. It's good sense to communicate and develop a clear division of labor. What isn't mentioned, however, is that a large part of the problem is also the perfectionistic and neurotic tendency of moms who can't relax or let go. Dads routinely end up on the receiving end of demands that aren't in fact necessary, especially in the moment, but become relationship-threatening "neglect" because the mom's own expectations and anxiety turn them into referenda on how he feels about her. Take her example of the trash - her man was running late for work and didn't take it out. She says this wasn't a good excuse, because him not doing this made *her* late for work - but that's actually not the case. She could have left it. The overflowing trash was gross but wasn't going to do anything for a few more hours. It wasn't her responsibility anyway, and there's no doubt he would have dealt with it when he got home when he saw it. And odds are the shame of the mess would mean he'd take care of it sooner in the future. He'd know if he didn't do it, no one would - it would be all on him. This approach may sound frustrating to women, but if you want your man to do things, you need to learn to leave him space to do them - even if he's taking longer to do them (or does them differently) than you'd like. You cannot nag and emasculate a man, and then feel upset when he inevitably distances himself from you and avoids the task. You cannot ask for a man to lead, and then continually question his leadership. The fact that many women do not understand this is proof how many well-meaning women don't know how to be feminine.

@thSauceMan @ThatGuyFromHS @CandiceHorbacz In the video she clearly states that she communicated this to him. He doesn't have to be a mind reader, he just needs to listen. His priorities are somewhere else and she is picking up the slack, that's the underlying issue.

@bethiebadger @ThatGuyFromHS @CandiceHorbacz Untrue, she opened up her rant with how much weight he pulls around the house (and outside of it) and she wanted him to do MORE due to her feeling burnt out. That's not his fault, she has real problems she's not addressing that she's blaming her husband for

@makees_A @adeyiinka_ They probably just don't want to admit they understand so they play dumb and get defensive, calling the wife names and downplaying it as a real problem.

@adeyiinka_ Seeee. My mind cannot comprehend it, and I wonder if it’s a biological thing. I’m inclined to believe there’s something incomplete in the brain because they genuinely don’t understand what she’s talking about.

@ThatGuyFromHS @CandiceHorbacz Yo it's insane, she lost it bc of him forgetting one time like no grace whatsoever. She felt like he didn't care or was dismissing her and that's not what he said but it didn't stop her from painting him that way. Plus she said he's super active/supportive w/the kids, so she lied

I just received some sad news—Mr. Bunkey has passed away. For the past two years, we’ve been honored to mow his lawn, ever since I got a call from a caseworker asking if we could help. From that day on, he became part of our extended family, one of the many people we’ve been blessed to serve. His sister-in-law shared that he passed this month , not long after our last visit to mow. The last time I mowed his lawn, he had family visiting, so we didn’t take a picture that day. This is the bittersweet reality of what we do—we meet so many wonderful people, build relationships, and then, all too often, have to say goodbye. But what gives me comfort is knowing that, in some small way, we were able to bring a bit of ease to his life. If there’s an elderly person, a disabled neighbor, or someone in need around you, take a moment to check on them. A simple act of kindness—mowing a lawn, bringing a meal, or just saying hello—can mean the world to someone. Let’s continue to make a difference, one lawn and one life at a time. Rest in peace, bunkey. You will be missed. Please have his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers .
