So if developing countries are going to ⬇️ fossil fuels or ⬆️ renewables, they want $$$ This point was made by Bolivia 🇧🇴 for the LMDCs (group of emerging economies inc. big fossil fuel producers) who submitted a request saying: If mitigation is in, we need an item on finance.

The fight is over the inclusion of the "mitigation work programme" in the agenda, which is about scaling up emissions cuts to hit climate targets. Some developing countries object to setting targets when rich developed countries have failed to provide the cash to back them up.
