@Help_C2C @cardiffcouncil Thanks for that.. if I could take photos of the state of the A48 I would but obviously not safe to do so.. those potholes have been there and getting worse for months and it’s not as if you can move into the other lane as it’s both lanes

@cardiffcouncil pot holes on the a48 stretch between pontprennau and the Newport road/rover way exit is becoming a joke with playing dodge ‘ems to avoid a blow out they are that big!! Why am I paying RT and CT when the roads ain’t being maintained!!

@cardiffcouncil and it’s not just there… roads all over Cardiff are just a tyre blowout waiting to happen… oh wait that’s already happening… sort it out!!! Oh and just FYI I lose a tyre because of a pot hole bills coming your way 👍

@SamParry2 Cardiff fan here… you all have our support.. this is wrong and you all should never be put in this position We may be rivals on the pitch but we are certainly united in our anger, frustration, and disbelief of this situation with the WRU and Y11

@bethprovbp I don’t understand how it’s such a mess. It’s easy for us on the outside to have an opinion but those within have let this unnecessary happen.

I plead with the @WelshRugbyUnion to not sell @Cardiff_Rugby to Y11.. how can you ignore the very loud voice of fans of Cardiff and @ospreys the damage this will do.. we do not want this or have owners who only obtain us as the detriment of another region @CF10RugbyTrust

If the Y11 bid is that good release the details now @WelshRugbyUnion - explain how and why you can accept such a betrayal of one club for another

@David_25 It’s not you missing the point or trying to understand logic… the WRU only see £ on their bottom line! However I am interested in how good the offer from y11 was when the Hollywood consortium has from day one been the best offer on the table

Let us not forget about the players and staff at @Cardiff_Rugby tonight. Y11 buying Cardiff will no doubt involve them bringing in their own @ospreys players and staff. That means you too @Lance_Bradley_ no doubt. Nobody wins in this folly.

If they weren't already aware, the fan responses to this news on social media should tell the WRU just how badly this news is going down. This is a disgraceful, despicable decision which will appal fans across Wales.

@WelshRugbyUnion I get there is a process to follow and legal obligations but read the room… people want answers now not next week!! someone is ultimately losing their livelihood and dragging this out longer is not only damaging to them but making a joke out of Welsh rugby even more than before

𝗪𝗥𝗨 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 The WRU board met for its January meeting today and considered the recommendation from the Executive Leadership Team on the sale of Cardiff Rugby. The board reviewed in detail the final two bids and unanimously approved the proposal to move forward with a preferred bidder into an exclusivity period. Following this decision, the WRU has obligations to liaise with a number of stakeholders over the next few days. We will then discuss the decision with the two bidders and the management of Cardiff Rugby and we expect to be in a position to have completed this by next week. The WRU hopes to finalise the detailed negotiations with the preferred bidder and sign a binding agreement within a matter of weeks.
