When receiving a dementia diagnosis for yourself or someone close to you, there is a lot of new information to take in and process all at once. This can make you feel upset or angry, and you’re bound to have lots of questions.

@alzheimerssoc @FiCarragher Getting GPs to recognise symptoms and make initial referrals would be a start! Dismissing patients going with concerns about their memories is not going to improve diagnosis rates.

@OGATrust @OutwoodShafton Are any of the master classes available to watch after the event? For example A Christmas Carol is on this evening but the exam is next week so being able to watch it over the weekend would be a great option.

@Roddas_Cream I think one of your machines has had a hiccup… just about to enjoy a scone with the best clotted cream (after the jam of course) but the lid is missing from mr cream and the date had been printed straight on to it 😱 my scones now look incredibly sad.

My Dad went to his new GP with memory problems (with a request from a previous GP to his new GP to refer him to memory services on his file) and it was suggested he stop taking fluoxetine.
