@helen_barnowl @bookworm_nat I agree with the talk by her. But what that doesn't address is that alcoholics are affected by trauma. We have lower levels of GABA at birth, for example. It's not situational. It's a life-long condition. Unless you get amazing therapy.

Seen a lot of posts on here lately about 'levels' of addiction, along the lines of 'binge drinking isn't real addiction' or some problem drinkers aren't alcoholics. Thoughts?

@BethSmyls @bookworm_nat I used to drink too much and I personally find it stigmatising. I agree that stigma needs to be reduced
