State Treasurer Larry Pack, who serves as Chairman of the Hope Scholarship Board, today announced that more than 20,000 students have applied for full funding of the Hope Scholarship Program for the 2026-2027 academic year. I can remember as a child during the hours from Noon to 3 PM on Good Friday, there would be an aura of silence, reverence, and penance. Even if we are not able to get to the sacred liturgy at that time, we still try to keep some awe during the “Tre Ore,” those three hours. @thegnewsroom

The Department of Education student loan portfolio stands at nearly $1.7 TRILLION, with fewer than 40% of borrowers in repayment and almost 25% in default—a clear sign of years of mismanagement. The Department of Education was never intended to operate what would be the fifth-largest commercial bank in the United States, distributing over $100 billion each year in Federal student loans and grants. When people tell you who they are, believe them! The school union's "No. 1 priority" is not academic achievement, school safety, or even teacher pay. It's a gigantic tax increase (that doesn't even allocate a PENNY to education).
