If the Eagles really want "more" from Jalen Hurts before an extension is given... they risk 2 things 1. Him proving everyone wrong again and making that next contract more expensive than it would be if done now 2. If he is asking for it now and they say no... he may play hard ball and give less team friendly structure Get the deal done now Even with his flaws... you're not finding much better than him to QB the Philadelphia Eagles

@mharb_10 @Beardaknowledge Alabama U is what I meant sir. Yes he wasn’t trashed over there but it could have broke him to be benched but he didn’t. Bcoz probably for him, game is greater than his ego. My point is, if that story is from his own org, that’s not d way to handle it ethically.

@betterworld08 @Beardaknowledge AU is Auburn University. Jalen was encouraged to transfer by Saban, there was no “I’m transferring to prove a point to UA” Jalen did it bc he had to play more to have the chance to get drafted. UA didn’t trash/hate him locally the way Philly is now, it’s insane.

@Eagles I think as an org u should defend ur players esp if the report is demeaning&maligning his character! HURTS deserve respect! U should have put up a statement! Wrongdoings should not be tolerated and never acceptable! U protect them, that’s how real family works!

@PhilaFanCentral I don’t think there’s a need to demean and malign his character just to cross the message to Jalen. I think it’s demoralizing and if this is really coming from his organization, then the more it’s not acceptable the way it was done just to cross the message to him.

My attempt at a fair, honest take on the Jalen Hurts piece this week: The Eagles love Jalen, respect all that he’s accomplished, and want him to be their QB going forward. However, they also obviously want this info out there for a reason. He’s not perfect, and they need him to be better than he was in 2025. The Eagles are investing heavily in a whole new offensive identity with Sean Mannion. I think the team wants to send the message that he needs to fully buy into this new identity and work well with Sean, and not have the “tension” that’s been there with past coaches. Or else they can’t invest in another massive contract as he begins to approach 30 as a mobile QB with deteriorating athleticism. Jalen’s played some of his best ball when his long-term future is brought into question. Hopefully that happens again in 2026 🦅

If passing yards is the basis of greatness,then how come those on top have never been to SB. I just think it’s not only talent, but mental toughness & heart to achieve a W matters.

Jalen Hurts wanted to stay in the game up by 30 on the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Jalen Hurts threw a Hail Mary and ran that shit down just in case it was knocked down in the endzone. Spread lies, talk shit, doubt him, disrespect him, etc. there’s nothing you can say that will change the fact that he’s a Super Bowl Champion, Super Bowl MVP, and all around winner. There’s not a single QB in the NFL I would rather be my QB. He is the perfect fit for this team and city. Go Birds, dickheads.

He didn't look up. He just whispered, "My mom’s chemo schedule changed. She’s too weak to walk after the appointments, and we don't have a car. I have to carry her up the stairs to our apartment. It takes all afternoon." I looked at the papers on my desk. They felt incredibly heavy. I didn’t see a truant student anymore; I saw a boy being a man before he had to be. I ripped up the papers. "Here’s the deal," I told him. "You get her home. I’m emailing your teachers to set up remote work for the days you miss. We are going to get you across that stage." I lost $1,200 that day. But the look of pure relief on that mother's face? Worth every single penny. A lease is a contract, but humanity should always be the fine print.
