Where is @GillianKeegan? Education is in crisis and she is nowhere to be seen.
These strikes could be avoided if she could:
1️⃣ Publish the STRB report and its recommendations
2️⃣ Get back to the table and have meaningful discussions with us.
Stop stalling, Gill, and just do your job. #SaveOurSchools. Children deserve better.
Here are some of the strike demonstrations/rallies taking place today. 👇
▶️Durham: 12pm rally at Market Place.
▶️Lancaster & Morecambe: 12pm - picnic at Avenham Park, Preston.
▶️North Northants: meet at Corby Town Centre Cube, George Street, for a demonstration from 4.30pm-6.30pm.
▶️West Sussex: assemble outside Guildbourne Centre, Worthing at 10.30, rally at Steyne Gardens
▶️Manchester: 9am-12pm rally at St Peter's Square.
▶️South & East Kent: 12 -13pm - family fun day, Betteshanger park, Deal.
▶️Somerset: meet at 11am outside the Market House , Taunton for town centre rally.
▶️Calderdale: meet at 10.30am outside Calderdale Industrial Museum for town centre rally.
▶️Leeds: 10.30am post-picket all-member strike breakfast at Lawnswood Arms.
▶️Reading: 11am family-friendly demo at Town Hall Square.
▶️Southampton: meet at 10am at Mettricks for a DfE- themed sports day at Southampton Common

The DfE have declined on the basis of public interest. I’ve asked them, how is it in the public interest to deny school leaders the ability to financially adjust plans for next academic year whilst stabbing in the dark about the largest bill schools will face? Not good enough!
