@TonyWakehamNL Nothing Kevin ever did was political. It was only to help those around him. If more politicians were like Kevin, the world would be a much happier and loving place. Going to miss my friend. 💔
Never in all my years have I met a politician more kind-hearted and universally loved than my friend Kevin Parsons. Like his father before him, Kevin was wholly devoted to the people he served and a true pillar of the local sports community. His face beamed with pride whenever he talked about his family, whom he absolutely adored. It was to spend more time with them that he stepped away from politics in 2021.
When Kevin announced his retirement in the House on October 29, 2020, tributes poured in from all sides of the aisle—a testament to the respect and admiration he earned throughout his career. His kindness, encouragement, and unwavering support meant the world to me, especially as I sought the leadership of our party.
On behalf of my family, I extend our deepest condolences to Denise, his entire family, and the countless lives Kevin touched over the years. Rest in peace, Kev. Your legacy of love, service, and devotion will never be forgotten. We will keep our heads up and remember what a true, gentle saint this man always was and the remarkable example he has set for all of us.
@NFPower I did once I realized there was a number. Thank you to your crews for their services - can’t imagine it’s easy to work in this type of weather!
@AnthonyGermain@OnTheGoCBC@Anthony From the very outset, the microphones worn by performers didn’t work. Santa was given a handheld microphone and that didn’t work either. They rebooted the system and that did nothing. We felt bad for the performers - opening night is scary enough!
@AirCanada flight 2094 sent back to Toronto. Told if we returned with the flight, we’d be given hotel & taxi vouchers. Not at Pearson and being told no vouchers. Please fix this.
@EricaEhm I did a live chat with Netflix and was told to change the primary address to the cottage when we were there and change it back when we got home.
@beztmom@Terry_Hussey ...and in institutional systems of peer review and decision making processes specified by this Collective Agreement, and in accordance with the Act.”
@beztmom@Terry_Hussey For me? Fairness for precariously employed (i.e., contractual) academics, an end to demand for two-tiered post-retirement benefits, recognition of collegiality in the Collective Agreement, and measures to build the complement of permanent academics doing the full job.
@Terry_Hussey@rgwhitaker Thanks for the clarification and info. Much appreciated! As a parent of a MUN student, I hope both sides are able to reach an agreement soon.
@Terry_Hussey@rgwhitaker Understood you’re not speaking for MUNFA. I guess I’m not clear on how this would be reflected in the agreement. It seems like a much bigger issue to be dealt with and require many other stakeholders to be involved?
