For the past 40 years, Karnataka has never re-elected the incumbent. Let that sink in - in startup terms its called Customer Churn! So what will ensure a re-election in 5 years?
For Bangalore the top 3 priorities are Traffic, Traffic, Traffic.
Fixing it with a combination of Short, Medium and Long term initiatives is a near guarantee to help win the vote of the city next time around!
Beyond that my asks are quite simple
2) And as a digital first native, can we please use all the amazing digital public infrastructure that were defined in this city - that has the world going gaga.
3) Cleanliness - keep our city clean - educate, encourage, reward & penalize so ensure the right behaviour.
What are your top 3 asks?

@rajeshsawhney Most entrepreneurs fail and go back to buying FDs and LIC polices for security..investing in stock markets was a good way to make wealth..but most Indians have wealth based on property..of course past is not a guide for the future

@ListenNotes @TrungTPhan Both Jerry Yang and David Filo are billionaires, together worth more than what Yahoo! sold..Marissa Meyer was the last CEO..she was one of the early team at Google..go figure how this happens!

@TrungTPhan There must be human beings behind those decisions . who were they? how are they doing right now?

Yahoo! is the Forrest Gump of tech what-ifs.
It had a dotcom peak valuation of $125B and ultimately sold to Verizon for $4.8B in 2016.
Here are 5 of its wildest whiffs:
▫️1998: Refuses to buy Google for $1m
▫️2002: Google says it will sell to Yahoo for $5B (but Yahoo only offers $3B)
▫️2006: Yahoo offers $1B for Facebook but Zuckerberg turns it down (allegedly, if Yahoo increased bid to $1.1B, the board may have pushed for sale but Yahoo wouldn’t budge)
▫️2008: Microsoft offers to buy Yahoo for $46B (Yahoo says “no”)
▫️2013: Yahoo buys Tumblr for $1.1B and writes it down to $230m in 2016 (instead of Tumblr, it considered buying Netflix for $4B —> now worth $140B)

Exactly why I say 90% of VCs add no value. A few of us do work 80 hrs per week and enable new things to be done that might not get done otherwise, like fusion, public transit ... but more agree than not with you. It's why in 40 yrs I've never called myself a venture capitalist.

investing is an amazing very-part-time job, and (at least for me) a soul-sucking full-time job. BUT those mountains in aspen aren’t gonna ski themselves, that party in saint-tropez isn’t gonna enjoy itself, that kiteboard on necker island needs someone to fly it, etc etc etc.
