I have positive news on my dear Chi Chi 🐕! To those of you who expressed concern and prayers for Chi Chi 🐕, we deeply appreciate your thoughts! The Vet called this morning. He had put her on fluids and an antibiotic. Her body scan turned out normal. Her temperature was back to normal and her pupil dilation was back to normal. They had been dilated different sizes. The Vet suspected a possible neurological problem because of this. We are hoping this is no longer a possible concern. She had eaten and was standing up. They released her late this afternoon from the veterinary hospital. They were overwhelmed with new patients so we have not received the blood test results yet. We stopped to get her a Pup Cup which she enjoyed. She is now back home. We have her on an antibiotic, a steroid, and gabaPentin for pain. I think the gabaPentin is contributing to her drowsiness. At this point, we are going to hold on the gabaPentin to see if she becomes more alert. But she does seem interested in any food activity in the kitchen. 🙂 We should receive the vet report by email. We’ll then take her to our normal vet for further recommendations. Below is an early photo of Chi Chi 🐕 before the top of her head turned gray. She is a rescue dog I saw at a pet adoption at a pet store. She leaned against the crate and wanted me to pet her. I showed my wife but she wasn’t sure about adopting her since we had a Jack Russell Terrier. We returned home, sat on the patio, drank a glass of wine, and discussed it. We quickly decided we had to go back to adopt her before the store closed. That was 10-11 years ago. She is about 12 years old now. About 4 years ago, we adopted Mr. Pickles 🐕, a 60 lb Labrador. Little 7 1/2 lb Chi Chi 🐕 quickly showed him who was boss. He has taken her lead ever since! She ferociously barks at other dogs walking past the porch and then runs inside to the front door to get a second barking in. Mr. Pickles dutifully mimics her actions! As you can tell, we adore her!

Strawberries are the gift that keeps on giving. They will sprawl wherever they can. And. Just. Keep. Going. What a blessing!

I have a solution to your tick problem but you may not like it. So far we've had ZERO issues with ticks, chiggers, and other tiny terrible insects since we got these guys...
