@DMRuth4 @TradCathEd You are right, some are on here, but mainly I see what you describe as faith in action, in-person interactions with people on a daily basis and not hiding behind a social media post.

And there are laity who have quietly responded to the Church teaching which calls us to know the Catholic faith, and they are able to meditate upon and pass on the faith with zeal and joy. Classroom and letters are good but so, too, can be theology at the dining room table and the barcalounger.

This is confusing. Fr. Larry has offered some insightful talks in the past. Is he basing his rant on Raymond Arroyo when Arroyo appears on Laura Ingraham? If so, then he is only viewing a the small “entertainer” part of Arroyo. The sober spiritual Arroyo appears on the Papal Posse on his show Arroyo Grande (formerly the Papal Posse was on EWTN). Fr. Larry seems to suggest that Catholic laity are not qualified to speak out without a theology degree. Yet, we are all called by Jesus to go forth and preach to all nations. The Church exhorts us to be knowledgeable Catholics, to study the catechism, the Word of God, lives of the saints, Church documents, and more. I have met simple Catholics who are better able to speak of faith and theology with greater wisdom, knowledge and understanding than many “learned” and lettered priests and theologians. BTW, if we are excoriating someone else by name, perhaps it is wise to learn how to pronounce it.

Hale really should be disciplined, because he's not simply trying to turn Catholics against Trump, an integral part of his strategy is to turn many Americans against the Pope.

I agree with you that this "withering" strategy, if that's what it is, is far from the ideal way of dealing with the problem. That said, there are obvious ways in which Leo is slandered unjustly by American influencers. And the fact is that American Catholics, based on polls, have an overwhelmingly positive view of Pope Leo. If a leftist subversive thinks it's in his interests to change that, we should oppose him.
