@Padierfind @Faizan12620 Patrick, I managed to finally meet Faizan in IBW hackathon! He attended Emurgo Academy's training programs and I've always wanted to meet him. I thought I'll catch up again with you and Faizan the next day but my bum knee acted up and I couldn't make it! 😭

Today I wanna give a special shout out to @bytegen_dev our Masumi Dev who has built a full Verified Credential Issuance system using KERI & Veridian by the Cardano Foundation. We're going to use this system to give Verified Identities to AI Agents very soon!

Evaluating the Veridian wallet and its underlying KERI architecture for our project stack. KERI’s approach to self-certifying identifiers is genuinely interesting—and its blockchain/platform-agnostic yet fully accommodative design makes a lot of sense for real-world healthcare workflows. Exploring how this could integrate into our proposed healthcare system over the next few days.

Yearn Finance - one of DeFi's most audited protocols - just got drained yesterday. Unlimited minting bug in the yETH pool. CertiK, Trail of Bits, Quantstamp, MixBytes have all audited Yearn contracts. Plus many more. Millions spent on security theater. And users still lost everything. This is what nobody wants to talk about: No audits = completely unacceptable With audits = still not safe So where does that leave us? Stuck in security limbo. Pretending we're ready for mass adoption when we're clearly not. The truth? Audits catch surface-level bugs. They're liability shields for founders, not protection for users. They check boxes so lawyers can say "we did our due diligence." But they don't catch the sophisticated exploits. They don't prevent unlimited minting bugs. They don't stop the creativity of attackers who think in ways auditors never considered. Real security doesn't start with an audit. It starts with proper foundation: 🔸Safer asset structures that eliminate entire attack vectors 🔸No approval mechanisms to exploit 🔸Smart contracts designed with formal verification from day one 🔸Mathematical verifiability, not just "looks good to me" 🔸Protocol-level protections, not band-aids on broken architecture Chains like MultiversX, Cardano, and Algorand built this in from the start. Native assets. No unlimited approvals. Security by design, not by afterthought. Meanwhile, EVM chains keep building on the same broken foundation and slapping audits on top like that'll fix it. It won't. Yearn is just the latest proof. There will be more tomorrow. And next week. And next month. Until we admit the hard truth: Web3 is still early. The infrastructure isn't ready. And pretending otherwise just puts more users at risk. You can't audit your way out of fundamentally flawed architecture. So stop acting like you can.

Historic moment for Hydra! This weekend marked the first time ever that Hydra was featured at a hackathon, and what an incredible debut it was! At the Cardano Hackathon 2025 @IBWofficial with ~400 participants, I had the privilege of representing @InputOutputHK and Hydra as both mentor and jury member. The energy and innovation were absolutely inspiring: - Over 15 teams chose to build on Hydra! - The winning team for Track 1 (General Cardano Track) was a Hydra project! - Developers are excited about Layer 2 scaling solutions for Cardano Huge thanks to @emurgo_io for facilitating this event and making Hydra part of it. It was wonderful to see @emurgo_io, @InputOutputHK, @Cardano_CF and @IntersectMBO coming together to support the Cardano builder community. This is just the beginning - seeing real developers building real solutions with Hydra is great validation. The future of Cardano scaling is looking bright!

> Core Solidity takes ideas from pure functional programming languages (e.g. Haskell, Lean) Impressive that in 6yrs Ethereum went from the biggest critic of these ideas, to one of the biggest proponents (even rewriting their entire ledger and contract language around them)
Fede’s intern 🥊@fede_intern

Good news in @ethereum land. Solidity is finally growing up. ADTs, generics, traits, type inference, first-order functions. Inheritance getting phased out. Linear types and even theorem proving on the table. I’ve been very critical of Solidity because it always felt like a strange mix of Java and JavaScript, with the permanent ability to shoot yourself like assembly. This upgrade is long overdue. Congrats to the people pushing this forward. I’m already reviewing the code on GitHub. @rodrigogeraldo, one of the main committers, clearly knows what he is doing. Deep compiler expertise, real programming-language design sense. Great to see a LATAM brother leading a project this important. If Ethereum manages to: - raise the gas limit considerably - add privacy as a core L1 feature - become post-quantum resistant with @leanEthereum - fully leverage ZK - improve interoperability with intents and standards that unify the L1/L2 experience - develop native and based rollups - and bring Solidity to modern language standards there is no way competitors catch up. We just need to prioritize features correctly and act with a proper roadmap. Ethereum must think more like a real business. We can't have engineers deciding the roadmap. We need to think in terms of users and product. We will be writing about this in our blog. Lambda @class_lambda will try to help on every front. @ethrex_client, our minimalist and performant Rust production ready execution client, is just the first step towards this. Let’s build.

India is definitely going to be a huge opportunity for Cardano expansion and inclusion.
EMURGO@emurgo_io

India is a major hub for Cardano builders and one of the fastest-growing regions for crypto adoption. 🇮🇳 The Grand Finale of yesterday’s Cardano Hackathon Asia 2025 @IBWofficial Edition showed strong talent density, technical depth, and fast execution with impactful output. Our COO @No3of3J closed with a clear message. “If Cardano is the playground, then India is the population of builders that make the playground matter.” Congratulations to all winners across the four tracks, Core @Cardano, @MasumiNetwork AI, @MidnightNtwrk privacy, and Hydra scaling, and to the teams awarded builder bonuses for their exceptional work. 👏🏻🛠️ We look forward to seeing you at the next flagship Cardano Hackathon event.

This is insane 🤯 A new system called Paper2Video can read a scientific paper and automatically create a full presentation video slides, narration, subtitles, even a talking head of the author. It’s called PaperTalker, and it beat human-made videos in comprehension tests. Hours of academic video editing... gone. AI now explains your research better than you do. 👉 github. com/showlab/Paper2Video

@8ap The public doesn't care about drive integration etc etc. They want a messaging app that just works. Once they start using arattai they might slowly look at zoho. Mad onboarding is the crucial point here. If zoho succeeds in doing so, they can then have a multi step success story

Every time a new Indian app launches, the pitch is usually “this is our WhatsApp alternative” or “our Google alternative. But honestly, I feel that approach limits how far the product can actually go. The moment you position it as an “alternative,” the comparison game starts. People don’t look at what it uniquely offers, they just check what it doesn’t have compared to the global giant. We’ve seen this story with Hike, Koo and many others. Take Arattai from Zoho for example. I’ve been following it, and it genuinely has potential. Especially when you think about Zoho’s proven track record with business tools. But instead of only projecting it as “India’s WhatsApp alternative,” imagine if the focus was on its integration with Zoho’s ecosystem, privacy-first design, or features that are truly made for Indian users. That’s a much stronger story. In my opinion, Indian apps don’t need to replace anything. They need to create their own space. That’s when adoption becomes natural and sustainable.
