How the nightsky looks the same from Alpha centauri except the constellation cassiopeia.

When my husband died, because he was so famous and known for not being a believer, many people would come up to me-it still sometimes happens-and ask me if Carl changed at the end and converted to a belief in an afterlife. They also frequently ask me if I think I will see him again. Carl faced his death with unflagging courage and never sought refuge in illusions. The tragedy was that we knew we would never see each other again. I don't ever expect to be reunited with Carl. But, the great thing is that when we were together, for nearly twenty years, we lived with a vivid appreciation of how brief and precious life is. We never trivialized the meaning of death by pretending it was anything other than a final parting. Every single moment that we were alive and we were together was miraculous, not miraculous in the sense of inexplicable or supernatural. We knew we were beneficiaries of chance. . . . That pure chance could be so generous and so kind. . . . That we could find each other, as Carl wrote so beautifully in Cosmos, you know, in the vastness of space and the immensity of time. . . . That we could be together for twenty years. That is something which sustains me and it’s much more meaningful. . . . The way he treated me and the way I treated him, the way we took care of each other and our family, while he lived. That is so much more important than the idea I will see him someday. I don't think I'll ever see Carl again. But I saw him. We saw each other. We found each other in the cosmos, and that was wonderful. - Ann Druyan

Organised the first Stargazing event at the Darksky park in Kolli hills.A big Thank you to the forest dept for giving us the opportunity. We had 30 participants, We observed deep sky objects and witnessed the milkyway core through naked eyes.

What an incredible experience it was to be at Haite Friendship Memorial School in Mualdam, Assam, showing the night sky and the Sun to young students through the 8-inch telescope we donated. @starvoirs . This is the 17th telescope we have donated in the last 3 years.

Last weekend was magical. We sat on the banks of the River Kollidam, spoke about DIG and Keeladi with @sowmiyashok, and ended the night stargazing under the open sky.

We also had the privilege of suggesting the telescopes for the park and training the forest officials in stargazing and telescope operations. In many ways, the state’s first Dark Sky Park feels very close to our hearts .A journey we have been part of from the beginning.

and offers good night sky experience. Super excited to see how this place evolves and what it becomes in the coming months.

I’ve visited this park countless times over the past 18 months and watched it slowly take shape from almost nothing into something truly special. It feels incredibly proud to be associated with something like this. The facility now hosts some amazing telescopes .

Folks from Nagaland. I need a little help. One of our clients joining our stargazing trip in Nagaland is a UK national, so we need to apply for a Protected Area Permit . Is PAP being processed only through registered tour operators, or can the client apply directly?

@bhava326 PAP is registered through Frro Website by individuals. Can be applied only after reaching India as they have to upload arrival documents. Takes approx 2 weeks.
