1. Tanking to keep protected pick (only one who would be hurt by new rules) 2. Best player got hurt in the fucking NBA finals (lol) 3. Dog shit management / roster building. They thought they would be good! 4. Team got old / washed 5. Made a bad draft night trade that overestimated how good they would be 6. More competitive than your average "tanking team" There is less tanking teams than any time in recent memory. Good time to put these rules in place.
