@alex_mullock So sad to hear. I hope Rodney Brazier is doing ok. He was my favourite law lecturer when I was there from 2010-2013. Sending lots of love 🕊️

Heartbreaking 💔 Yesterday I saw a UG student, who commented that the “Brazier book” (Medicine patients and the law, co-authored with Cave and Heywood) was the only text book they had enjoyed reading in 3 years of studying law!

We mourn Professor Margot Brazier, who died peacefully on 4 March. Margot's work inspired generations of healthcare lawyers and ethicists, and informed health policy for decades. Margot was exceptionally kind, clever, funny and wise. We will miss her so much @law_uom

There are five sisters in a room Megan is reading a book. Lillie is drawing. Charlotte is playing chess. Sophie is watching Youtube. What is the fifth sister doing?

@CumberlandLodge - having serious concerns travelling to the lodge alone given the race riots. Is anything being discussed at the lodge? Have emailed but would like an urgent response please. Thanks.

Seeing people graduate with their PhD hats and gowns is exactly the motivation I need. Almost there. #phdlife

Been seeing this book everywhere will in the US - bookstores, coffee shops, and on the news. Finally got a copy and started - vital work. So much to consider, but two things stand out: - Encourage more play in schools. - Design and zone public space with children in mind.

Unfortunately I’m one of those people with both Crohn’s Disease and AS. I was diagnosed with AS in 2019, and Crohn’s in 2023. It is extremely challenging juggling two chronic illnesses with life, a young family (three children 2 and under), and a career, but I try my best 🙏
Crohn's & Colitis UK@CrohnsColitisUK

Have you heard of axial spondyloarthritis? Axial SpA is an inflammatory condition of the spine and joints. We know there is a link between Axial SpA and Crohn's and Colitis, and about 13 in every 100 people with Crohn's or Colitis also have axial SpA. nass.co.uk/about-as/your-…

How terrible. What sort of ideas would they have about student accents then? Poor, poor, the poorest of leadership.

I always see people say it’s a good idea to take a break after your PhD and I would LOVE to. However, I can’t help but think this is a little bit of a privileged take. Who’s going to pay my rent when I’m on this break? Genuine question

Transcribing and someone’s said “life-work balance” instead of the typical “work-life balance” and it’s profound how simple word placement can change a whole concept. Geeky PhD thoughts. That’s why we do what we do!

Wow. Another interview that invigorates everything about my PhD work. I could interview people all day long. Maybe, journalism? 👀
