All things football with a sprinkle of Chels

Watching our boys get dismantled 3-1 at home by Nottingham Forest was painful enough, but seeing Tottenham’s Roberto De Zerbi handed a prime seat in the director’s box at Stamford Bridge in 4K view, comfortably studying how to tear us apart ahead of our May 19 clash, is just embarrassing. What breaks me even more is spotting him deep in conversation, smiling and chatting with our own Director of Professional Football, Sam Jewell, like they’re old mates catching up. If Thomas Tuchel comes to watch, that’s understandable, he’s the national team coach scouting England players from both sides. Thiago Silva came too, and that’s highly acceptable, he’s our legend, he came to support us. But rolling out a prime special seat in 4K graphics for an opposition coach you’re about to face? Come on, man. A club like Real Madrid would never do that for Diego Simeone. If you want to watch, buy a ticket and sit with the fans. This shows exactly how low we’ve fallen, and it’s unacceptable. You guys have to do better.
