@NJ1ST_ Maybe if there was a mental health lobbying group as powerful as the NRA more House Republicans would vote yes to those bills. From what I am hearing, Card’s mental health problems were known and he received treatment for them.

@NJ1ST_ 1. Yes this is a political query because I was contacting my representative. 2. Include mental health?Because the GOP has been so united in passing bills supporting mental health funding in the past?

Tweeting @CongressmanKean bc I want an actual reply to my email and not a canned one: Dear Congressman Kean, I was going to respond to this email when you sent it in May. I decided not to because I knew there would be another opportunity in the near future to send my response.

The answer is because our government refuses to take any meaningful action and continues to hide behind second amendment rights. A reminder that this amendment was written when citizens had access to muskets, not AR-15s.

That opportunity happened yesterday in Maine. The entire state is under lockdown because of one person who had access to an assault weapon. We are now beyond the "Second Amendment rights of law-abiding gun owners."
