Bitcoin is owned by humanity, the protocol developers are stewards, and need consensus from users to change it materially. bitcoin is about money, spam has no place in the timechain. what defaults the bitcoin core project puts in the reference client matter in this.

There are literally billions of people across the world that struggle with these exact problems. And for them, crypto is the only viable solution. It is a trustless way for people around the world to self custody their wealth. It lets them move their money without anyone's permission. And it gives them access to a whole host of financial products they'd never see locally Crypto as a technology is simply a permissionless, trustless system that gives individuals sovereignty. And it solves a whole range of problems that many of us are very fortunate that we don't have to experience
