Flying home from a few days in Paris. A few thoughts… 1. I was in a pretty snooty area so I didn’t see a lot of the dysfunction you hear about. 2. The French people are absolutely lovely. I don’t know where they got their bad reputation, but they were uniformly wonderful. 3. Absolutely zero people gave me crap about Trump. They seem to like Americans. 4. Of course, much like cats, the French don’t respond to stimuli that we understand. So I may have entirely no understanding what they really think. 5. Contrary to popular belief, you can get a bad bottle of wine and a bad meal in Paris. But you can also get a really good one. I particularly enjoyed Alfred in the the 1st Arr. they asked me to review the restaurant on yelp and I said hey I’ve got 600,000 Twitter followers and they laughed and I said no really and showed them and they freaked out. They thought it was crazy. What a great evening.

lots of strange reactions to this game. let’s clear some things up: childless men do not have paternal instincts the way that childless women have maternal instincts (we observe this even in the way little girls play vs. little boys). men first experience paternal instincts once they have their own children - and typically, those paternal instincts are only ever felt for their own children, and no one else’s. men are not nurturers. men don’t gush over cute kids in public. men don’t have baby fever. if a man wants to possess a child for any reason other than it being a product of his own lineage, he is likely a predator. and you’d be taking the feminist/radical gender abolitionist position to protest any of the above points. this should explain why a “dad simulator” game marketed to mostly childless men gives people the creeps.
