@GeckoSquadron Not sneaker related but I typed “drop database;” in the production SQL prompt for the app of the biggest grocery store app in Germany. Then found out the backup is… on tape… (in 2013!) and it takes a day to recover.

I once deleted the Sneakercopter key DB. I handled the situation by changing the auth server to instead check the key was a valid MD5 hash (as it should be) and also set the first attempt to always fail (to trick brute force). I later found a backup and no fake keys got through😃
