Reason I’m not satisfied with The Boys ending: Homelander received such an easy death. The Deep died like that? Annie should have delivered the final blow. Sister Sage walked off unscathed. No plot armor saved butcher & Frenchie somehow. (2/10)

@ifOnlyKantala Naw, once he lost his power he would’ve wanted to die. You said it yourself, his power is all that he had. Plus he had mentally gone off the deep end at that point. He would’ve welcomed death, since he had nothing and no one to live for.

I honestly don’t understand why people are complaining about Homelander’s ending in the final season of The Boys. Come on, it’s the finale. Butcher and the team had only one real chance, so obviously they were going to go all out. And realistically, Butcher and Ryan are strong enough to challenge Homelander. I don’t see the issue there. People also forget that Homelander was never some honorable or ethical man who would rather die than beg. Once he lost his power, he lost everything that made him feel superior. At that point, survival became his only goal, and he was willing to do anything for it. Honestly, it’s pretty well written. People are just overanalyzing and making it more complicated than it is. And let’s be real, it’s still a better finale than Game of Thrones and Stranger Things.

@RealLifeFakeWiz I havent seen the last episode yet...but this whole season has been crap. It hasnt been GOOD in a long time, sadly. Now it is more of a morbid fascination. When the writers just gave V1 to Homelander, I checked out. It wasnt a twist it was just a nothing burger.

The Boys will be forgotten almost immediately. This ending sucked. Don't bother with all the spin-offs. If Gen V couldn't hold viewership while The Boys was still airing, you don't stand a chance after this crap ending.

@RealLifeFakeWiz I think the spin-offs need to focus more on what worked in S1 - less toilet bowl ‘humor’ and sex jokes, more humans v. Supe drama. Keep it darker/more serious in tone and show a side of the corrupt Vought universe we haven’t see yet. And stop with the excessive blood/gore.

#TheBoys Season 5 Episode 8 Review: One of the greatest superhero tv shows that has ever been created and leading up to a big finale, just end it up feeling small. I enjoyed it, but I did have high expectations. Why? Because of the marketing they had given us. Leading us to believe the finale would have felt like the world was on its knees to a merciless Superman. Turns out that wasn’t the case. Also, these posters were very misleading because they never actually happened.

@zerowontmiss MAJOR SPOILERS The fact that Hughie didn't allow Butcher to release the virus makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. I understand that he didn't want to because of Starlight, but Butcher killing Homelander didn't matter because now a more powerful Supe will replace him.
