Palantir: The Journey--Not Investment Advice
Been investing thanks to my amazing mom who in my early career suggested I open an Ameritrade account and start putting money away and buying good companies. I'm a saver, oldest of five kids, frugal parents and grandparents, live within my means.
Over the years I've learned the value of investing in, and holding, good companies. I've made many costly mistakes along the way, but overall I've thankfully had more winners than losers. The mistakes have made me more determined and able to weather the ups and downs in the market, and in life.
In the early 90s I made a substantial--for me at the time--investment into $MSFT due to a recommendation from my mom in the $20 range. This was back in the days of her doing research not online, but based on what she read in the WSJ and Barron's, etc. She was the original goat. I held that $MSFT position and realized what getting into a company early with a substantial position could grow into with time in the market, not timing the market. I still have the position.
Then, March 2020 hit. To that point I had been focusing more on my oppressive day job than on taking investing seriously. It turned out to be a blessing, as I had some cash on the sidelines. Mom called me and said..."these are good companies and some are down 80%...you need to stop being a baby and buy now or you have no business being in the stock market"...and through actual tears--as those times were emotionally challenging and my cash "protected" me--I just started buying and deploying. Needless to say that was a very good move and valuable lesson. Sadly, some of those gains were lost due to FOMO, SPACS, the CW plays...but thankfully I still had more winners than losers.
THEN, ALONG CAME $PLTR.
Mom and I waited impatiently for the DPO, and even bought $SSSS prior, to get exposure to $PLTR. We enthusiastically bought $PLTR at DPO, and I admit getting caught up in the initial exuberance and buying some shares in the $20s. And, from $20 back to $10, I bought more with every point it fell. Then, in the "dark days" of the $5-8 range I piled in considerably more dollars by selling other "good" companies and scraping together what I could from my meager earnings at the time. I'm sure some of you can relate.
Like many, my career took a huge financial hit during the "pandemic" insanity. When I started selling off "good companies" to add to my $PLTR position was the only time mom thought maybe I had gone too far. For me, owning more $PLTR became an obsession. A very healthy obsession, in retrospect.
I just knew this company was something special. A unicorn. Their values went along with my values. Saying the quiet parts out loud. Dr. Karp banging on the table. The hair, the white t-shirt. Being a badass. I loved it all. It was obvious to me the passion was real. It resonated with me. Not complying, staying the course, taking a stand. Showing knowledge, strength, determination, enthusiasm, patriotism, and recognizing the retail investor even! All of it was special and different and unicorn-like. And it gave me hope when so little else did.
I'm not a technical genius. I'm not an analyst. But, I have been relentless in learning as much as possible about $PLTR and investing strategies along the way. I am grateful to the community for keeping me updated on this great company through the good and the challenging times.
I write this for average investors, young investors, non-technical investors to show them that you don't have to have a degree from an ivy league school, be an IT professional, technical analyst or born wealthy to have or create exponential wealth.
The average person is capable of achieving their financial dreams and independence. Work hard, show up, be responsible, and save money with the goal of living debt free and buy and hold good companies, crypto, real estate, whatever. Live your passion. You do you.
During these times of market exuberance I will continue to hold $PLTR as I not only believe we are just getting started on our journey, but I want to be part of something great. I want to be part of $PLTR.
Thanks to Alex Karp, Shyam Sankar, and the entire team who make $PLTR the great company it is today and will continue to be long into the future. Thanks to the community and for all those who did the hard thing and stayed the course when things were the most bleak.
And, I give 100% credit and thanks to God for showing me the light, guiding my way and giving me the gut instinct and courage to buy the "black box" that was $PLTR. I can't explain why I went off the rails in my unwavering faith in the company and can only say that it certainly was a God thing. I've never believed in any company or team so passionately.
Thanks be to God!
Long and strong $PLTR!

@inartiaio "Build once, scale forever" is an admirable goal. But a small, engaged early audience can be more valuable than massive scale from day one.

Personal branding is usually taught as "shouting into the void." But the most successful brands aren't just broadcasting they’re listening. They’re tracking the signals in their data. I built BigFan.pro to move from "vanity metrics" to "intentional connections." Knowing the moment a high-value account follows you isn't just a notification it’s a data point.

Great framework. A brand kit defines your identity, but audience awareness is the real lever. Once you're out there, you need to track the 'signal.' I built BigFan.pro to alert you the moment high value accounts connect with your brand. Don't just build it know who’s listening.

Great list. Add "Systematizing feedback loops" to it. You can master all those skills, but if you don't track the patterns in who is actually paying attention to you, you're missing the opportunity. I built BigFan.pro to automate that signal so you know exactly who is in your orbit.
English

Exactly. Curation is the new content creation. But branding isn't just what you post it’s who you attract. If you're being selective with your output, you should be selective with your network, too. I built BigFan.pro to alert you only when high value accounts follow. Signal, not noise.
English

Personal branding is the new resume, but the "feedback loop" is what actually drives growth. If you don't know who's following you, you're flying blind. I built BigFan.pro to automate that signal instant alerts for high-value follows. Don’t just exist; optimize your network.
