Every day brings a new video, livestream, podcast appearance, or carefully crafted post. The timelines are busy, the cameras are rolling, and the engagement numbers are climbing. Yet many citizens are left wondering: when does the actual constituency work happen? Leadership is measured in communities visited, problems solved, and people represented — not likes, shares, views, or trending hashtags. While residents grapple with local challenges, some politicians seem more focused on building online personalities than building solutions. Politics is increasingly being treated as a content strategy where outrage generates engagement and engagement is mistaken for impact.
