English Nationalists will find this insane of me to say, but Welsh Nationalists will understand. I would rather (and its not even close) be told "In the future, Wales will be mostly mixed race, mixed religion but more Welsh speaking than it is now" Than "Wales will be almost entirely white, entirely Christian/secular, but sadly the Welsh language will go extinct". The second one, is unthinkable to me. If someone gave me the option of DYING but my language grows, I would take it. And that is not an extreme position to most Welsh Nationalists.

All the chattering classes talk about the Labour drama and the local elections in the context of a possible Farage premiership. All of their thinking is done with Reform in mind. They are merely negotiating their own decline. Nigel is in their heads- and won't leave.
