Hey People 💕 I wanted to start the year by sharing something close to my heart. Over the past few months, I’ve been supporting a young woman in Nigeria ; someone incredibly hardworking, kind, and always advocating for others, even while struggling herself. She’s been battling depression and anxiety, which later affected her physical health. She’s gone through multiple treatments, is now in therapy and on medication, and during all of this… she lost her job. She’s also the sole provider for herself and her younger brother. Relocating for better healthcare added even more financial strain. Right now, she’s carrying a debt of ₦1.7m (around £900) just to survive. Our institutions like Water resource commission, forestry commission, EPA and others are rendered ineffective by political interference.
